“Tea on The Quay” Returns At Emsworth Slipper Sailing Club

Long-time Sail 4 Cancer supporters at the fabulous Emsworth Slipper Sailing Club (also known as the ESSC) will be holding a fundraising event on the 24 May 2026 to raise funds for the charity.

Cleverly named “Tea on The Quay”, the event raises funds through the sale of home-made cakes and teas/coffees at the sailing club which is located on Emsworth Quay. The ESSC is housed in the beautiful Hampshire town’s historic and iconic former tide mill.

Emsworth Slipper Sailing Club’s fundraising event is part of Sail 4 Cancer’s wider ‘Tea By The Sea’ initiative of events which help to generate much needed funds for the charity’s respite programme.

Andy Nicholson, Trustee at Sail 4 Cancer said:

“Emsworth Slipper Sailing Club has been running this fantastic fundraising event in support of Sail 4 Cancer for over ten years now and we cannot thank the organisers at the club enough for their dedication and hard work. This event is always extremely popular to the incredible selection of cakes and other sweet treats on offer.”

Andy continued:

“As a former Emsworth resident and dinghy sailor at Emsworth, I know the ESSC very well. The club is located in a fantastic location with beautiful views across Slipper Mill Pond, Fowley Island and the Emsworth Channel. I cannot think of a better location to enjoy a slice of cake and a fresh brew in support of Sail 4 Cancer. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at the Club for their help.”

This year’s event will take place between 2pm and 4pm and everyone is welcome! The event is always very well supported by Emsworth residents and people from the local area. The address for the sailing club can be found below:
