With over 10 Yacht Clubs, Strangford Lough (on the east coast of County Down in Northern Ireland) is a vibrant sailing area with competitive racing all year. The Strangford Lough Week Race encompass 4 different race areas with committee boat starts in the safe sheltered waters of Ireland’s inland sea and fleets move around the different venues and have a variety of courses.
With at least 200 boats participating, this makes Strangford Lough Race Week the second biggest sailing week in Ireland after the well established Cork Week.

Strangford Lough Race Week are proud to be involved with the charity and hope entrants to the event in 2009 will embrace the chance to combine all the fun on and off the water with an opportunity to raise funds for a very worthwhile cause.
