Beneteau Regatta Launched In Aid Of Sail 4 Cancer

The first CHB Beneteau Regatta as been launched to help raise funds for Sail 4 Cancer.  The event is designed to provide an enjoyable day of racing and entertainment set in the shadow of the South Downs on the Eastern Solent.

The Racing will consist of three races, with three classes per race:

  • Racing Division
  • Non-rated Spinnakers, (with spinnakers)
  • Non-rated (without Spinnakers)

First start at 11am with the racing taking place in the Hayling Bay/Winner Bank area, outside of Chichester Harbour entrance. The racing will be organised by ‘Race with Condor’. The racing rules will be as per the 2005 to 2008 Racing Rules of Sailing.

High Water is at 19:53; boats will have the benefit of the flood tide to cruise post race, through Chichester Harbour to the Marina (for reduced rate overnight berthing).

There will also be an evening function at Chichester Yacht Club, in the newly extended clubhouse. A selection of race prizes and cups will be awarded on the night.

Live music provided by Terry Seabrook (a well known established Jazz Musician) and some of his fellow musicians.

The entry fees have been based on the likely number of boats taking part and are to cover costs only. The proceeds of the event will be split between Sail 4 Cancer and the RNLI.

The Boat race entry fee is £35 with tickets for the evening function still being finalised with a target cost of £17 and to include a hot fork buffet and desert. A late entry fee of £15 will be set for entries after April 2nd.
