Sail 4 Cancer volunteer Will Gibbs will be spending 24 hours in a liferaft over the weekened of 10/11 November to raise awareness of the 1,000 people diagnosed with cancer in the UK every 24 hours.
Will will start his challenge at 12 noon on Saturday the 10th of November. The challenge will end 24 hours later at 12:00pm on Sunday the 11th of November. The Brighton raft is being sponsored by exhibition stands company, 200m2 Exhibition Stands.
Commenting on the challenge, Will said "The opportunity for families to spend valuable time together on the water is one worth freezing for. Whilst there aren't many people who have not had first-hand experience of the impact of cancer, my family and friends have been especially hard hit this year. Sail 4 Cancer's on-going goal to take families out of their normal environment and provide an escape is such an important one. I hope I feel the same after spending 24 hours in Brighton Marina in the middle of November!"
