Stu runs the Brighton Half MarathonStuart Bowker will be running in the Brighton Half Marathon on 17th February to raise money for Sail 4 Cancer. Reading between the lines, Stu is a determined sportsman who loves a challenge – and a joke! At 25, he already has some great sporting achievements under his belt, but then there are the photos… Between working for search engine marketing company Propellernet in Hove and learning Japanese and Slovak (!!), Stu manages to run 2 or 3 times a week. He also plays football 3 times a week for the Propellernet 5-a-side team, PropellerNuts, and a Brighton Sunday League team, Olympic Saltdean Oval.Having already run the Brighton Half Marathon last year Stu is determined to beat his time – and quite significantly too, reducing it from 1hr 59 to '1hr 30ish.' He already has a full marathon under his belt (London Marathon 2003) plus he competed in the Summer Tough Guy event in Wolver- hampton last year, “Which meant I put myself through 3 hours of assault course mayhem, mud, burning bails of hay, swamps, tunnels and general hellish situations!!!” explains Stu. On supporting Sail 4 Cancer, Stu comments, "It's a great cause that helps provide enjoyment for families in a sad situation that anybody could soon encounter and the sooner a cure is found the better for us all."And the photos? Why not sponsor Stu using the form below, give him your message of support to encourage him to achieve his goal – and let us know if you want to see some of those photos on this web page!
