Lindsey Noble's Liferaft Challenge!

Lindsey Noble will be spending 24 hours in a liferaft on 9/10 November to raise funds for Sail 4 Cancer. She will be joining the Sunsail Liferaft Team in Port Solent!

Lindsey tells us, "I am currently Principal and chief exec at City College Southampton - a great GFE College offering brilliant vocational education and apprenticeship training to young people and adults. However I will be leaving this post at the end of this academic year to do the Round the World Clipper Race starting in summer 2013. I have completed my level 1 training for Clipper and am just about to go for the level 2 training which includes a sea survival course so this will be a brilliant (?) introduction."

"I just love water... being on water and being in water!!!! I have never been in a liferaft and trust that it won't end up being a necessity on the Clipper RTW, but the 24 hour challenge will be good experience."

"I have never in my life been sea sick - this is of course the most stupid thing to reveal - can I accomplish this challenge without being sea sick?"

"Finally, a lifelong friend from childhood Anne died three years ago of leukaemia after having survived breast cancer. I still can't believe she is not here anymore."
