Sail 4 Cancer Family Fun Day

Family Fun Day
Family Fun Day

Sail 4 Cancer understands that families need a break away from the stress of living cancer and to have some good honest fun, so for 2018 Sail 4 Cancer is once again working with one of our sailing partners to provide a fun packed day out on the water for family groups. This is one of our most popular trips - with multiple boats out on the water and a day filled with fun and games it's always an outing to remember. The day will finish with afternoon tea in the sun and the chance to talk to the other families.

(Suitable for those aged 14 and above - we can sometimes take slightly younger children, but please ask us before booking. No sailing experience necessary.)

There is no charge for participating in the day's activities.

Date for 2018:
Wednesday 25th July

Provisional Agenda

  • 9.00am Guests meet in Hamble for bacon rolls (or similar).
  • 10.00am Safety briefing on board the yachts.

Some of the many lovely comments from 2017

“What a fabulous day! A wonderful day to spend with our family and other families in similar situations - the children had an amazing time and got really involved in the sailing of the boat. They had the opportunity to see that although our lives are more difficult living with cancer we can still have great times together." Tim

“After families have experienced cancer with their child, days like these are priceless. From start to finish, we were well looked after and had a truly fantastic day. Without you this would have never happened for us and we are truly thankful. ” Joanne

"A fantastic day! The whole family enjoyed it. We had a wonderful time and it was lovely to spend time as a family doing something that was totally absorbing, sociable, good fun and nothing to do with hospitals or cancer. Mike and Tanya couldn't have done more to make the day a success. They ensured that everyone was engaged and involved. A real treat for us all. Thank you so much, there was nothing I could fault..” Caitriona
