Set up by a team of sailing enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Sail 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of water based days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of sport (e.g. sailing) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
With 40 daily races, up to 1,000 boats and 8,500 competitors, ranging from Olympic and world class professionals to weekend sailors, it is the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world.
Every year, our supporters from across the country take part in Cowes Week in support of Sail 4 Cancer.
If you're planning to sail in this year's regatta and own a boat, we would be delighted if you would consider flying a Sail 4 Cancer flag or carrying our logo on your hull. Alternatively, have you consider adding Sail 4 Cancer to the name of your boat when entering the regatta - this is a great way to generate awareness of the charity's work! For example "Comedy of Errors Sail 4 Cancer".
If you're thinking about chartering a boat for Cowes Week, please consider chartering a boat from one of our partners. Both Sunsail and Britannia Events have boats available for the week at special Sail 4 Cancer rates.
If you'd like to fly the flag for Sail 4 Cancer in this year's event, please do get in touch! We look forward to hearing from you!
