10 year old Tiegan Precey was inspired to hold a Tea by the Sea in her back garden, inviting her friends over for an afternoon of delicious cakes and fun games. She used the posters from the Tea by the Sea pack and the charity sent her some balloons to decorate her tea party as well.
Obviously an expert fundraiser despite her young age, she approached her local Sainsbury's who donated cakes for the event, plus Mum made a fabulous Sail 4 Cancer decorated cake as centre-piece to the delicious spread.

Tiegan then devised a game to add interest to the afternoon and raise extra funds for the charity. Called "There She Blows", the game involved using two half drainpipes - around 3 metres in length - and making some little wooden boats with large sails. Contestants then had to race the boats down the drainpipes by blowing on the sails with straws. Genius!!
By the end of the afternoon, Tiegan had raised £260, including the matched funding which her father obtained through his employer. Professional to the last, Tiegan gave a speech thanking everyone for coming and for being so generous. Everyone at Sail 4 Cancer is delighted with our latest fundraiser. WELL DONE TIEGAN!!
