Lou dances to success

Lou Wale

Neilson Fitness Co-ordinator, Lou Wale, has been inspired by the Sail 4 Cancer guests she's met to run a half marathon in order to raise funds for Sail 4 Cancer.

Lou, currently based in Turkey, has been training for her half marathon with Neilson holiday guests - as well as taking up to 8 fitness classes per day, and all in up to 40 degree heat. Additionally she's set up Zumba classes (the latest dance fitness craze - great fun too) and encouraging as many guests as possible to join in. Not surprising then that Lou says, "I consider myself to be very fit." However she then admits, "running is not something that's comes naturally to me, unlike dancing." Her plan therefore is simple, "If worse comes to worst, I shall dance my way to the finish line!"

Her inspiration for this big challenge is quite simple. "Over the course of the summer season, Neilson support Sail 4 Cancer through various sponsored events. I want to do a half marathon to raise money for Sail 4 Cancer, as I have seen at first hand the impact this charity has on families' lives, when they come on holiday with Neilson."

Lou will run her half marathon in November this year after she's returned to England.
